Time... I can't hold it on my own My smiles last as long as gone I miss pills and candy
Silence... I can't hear it on my own I want my heart to settle down I miss pills and candy
Memory... I can't forget what just won't let I'm lonely now like puddles wet I miss pills and candy
Whispers... I can't remember how to hear my need for sweets is bittersweet I miss pills and candy
Have you had the need for suffering to know that you still are? Have you felt your art become your blood and have it spill out way too far? Have you ever felt the setting sun and know that now you're cold? Have you?

my favorite part "have you ever felt your art become your blood, and have it spill out way too far?" it's delicate but descriptive and it just struck a chord in me. Fantastic write

i think the stanza "have you felt your art become your blood and have it spill out way too far?" strikes a nerve in poets or any type of artist with more than what they write....very nicely written. |
