By simple chance
a flame arose
to thaw the ice
on the rarest rose
Now its seed did spread
and bushes grow
bringing color and life
to the darkest grove
in which lovers now meet
he gives her a rose
there passion now burns
because a flame once arose

Glittered with beauty, like that rarest rose. Very shining, glowing warmth in this poem. Glad I found your write here. I like how you showed the thawing out of the rose, warmed it up.. grew a rose garden, and lovers found them, shared the same passion as your rose, thank God for flames..
I love these 12 line prose poems, rhyme scheme or free verse, both excellent. Poe did a lot of them, great work here.
