REVEALING YOUR SOUL
Allowing ourselves to be heard
and pouring our souls out
Such an experience can change us
there's no doubt
Takes courage to let those around us
know our soul....
See our hearts and inner feelings
losing complete control.
Have you the courage to let
others know you intimately?
Your good deeds, and not so good
revealing your truths crudely?
Allowing another to enter your
very private space.....
'Tis very powerful indeed,
like breaking a valuable vase.
As a poet are you brave enough
to bare your soul each day?
Your downfalls, mistakes,
silly little things in every way?
Inspired, are you capable of
sharing your inner most thoughts?
Overcoming the fear you may
face with their boycotts?
When you feel safe enough to
go deep within your inner self
Abandoning your safety net,
leaving nothing on the shelf
Sorrow with tears, complimenting
your listeners also.
Showing you truly trust them
the gift of you, your ego.
Rewards for your actions
will always be very high,
Baring our truths to others
the real why.......
Sets us free from ourselves
and gives us validation
Along with peace of mind
like the innocence of children
But best of all it keeps us honest,
and secures our truths
Helping us distinguish our untruths.
anchors our integrity, our identity,
Honest souls feel worthy

Truth is being hammered into this fantastic write.
"Who has ears - let them hear"!
Oh yes, it takes tremendous courage
"ABANDONING YOUR SAFETY NET"
and to bare the innermost thoughts. Surely, we do that all the time, a poet just cannot help it. His every line reveals him. but,
the EXTENT of the baring may truly demand a degree of bravery that is not demanded
nor asked for in any other realm and field of endeavor.
