Carried Over Oceans of Innocence

In a clouded sky, I could not rise From beauty's ***** and hell's demise And dying slowly I sank lowly Perishing into all that is unholy Breaking the pattern, essential to life Consumed by darkness, rage and strife
Where was the passion, love, and light That radiated in my once lively mind It had drown softly, refusing the fight Put down its daggers and stopped time
And carried over oceans of innocence Forests of green, snow caped mountains Skies of blue borne from mother of gold Life squirting out of stone fountains And beauty's valentine, god of love and fear Whispered assuringly into my good ear "Youth shall grant you one more chance, For voice to sing and legs to dance."
So I awoke, a morning bright With grassy dew and life alike My eyes moist with confusion, Movement, and wide with light
