The serrated edge cuts deep into my skin
Warm blood oozing
From a severed vein
Hopes, dreams and love lost
All run from my wrist
A payment of the final cost
The entwinng of blood and sorrow
Battered and bruised by your deception
There is no choice
This is my redemption
The end of naivety
Feeling heady
Trying to get up on my feet
Arms numb
Grip becomes unsteady
Sweet victory or bitter defeat?
Fall to the floor
Butterfly with wings broken
Death at my doorstep
So many thoughts still unspoken
Time grudglingly stops
Darkness surrounds me
Pain ceases
I am free finally
Hurting no more

I really like the idea of hurting no more
