It all started the first day we met And since that day my eyes never slept Gazing upon your face in the sunset Sparkling beauty through the tears I wept
The years kept passing by I was never able to say What caused my desperate sigh And the pain in which I lay
Thousands of poems I wrote Millions of speeches I planned Not a word was able to float And reach your heart of sand
Today is just another day That I wear my mask of laughter Next to you I will forever stay Wishing you could love me the morning after

Very nice!! The rhyme in the first stanza was
a bit touchy but then it just got better and
better. My favourite stanza was the third by
far!!
Thousands of poems i wrote
Millions of speeches planned
Not a word was able to float
and reach your heart of sand.
Well put together, keep up the fine writing! |
