As I stand here in the cold looking to the skies,
I can't help but see those beautiful blue eyes.
And that smile, that would brighten anyones day,
You open up the clouds when they turn grey
And let the sun shine through right to my heart
That is why we will grow old and never part
I see a shooting star in the starry night sky
Wondering what to wish for, I give a sigh
I wish for all your dreams to come true
Because all mine were answered with you
You have filled my soul with all of your love
That is why we will grow old when push comes to shove
I walked down a lonely darkened path at night
But finding you has shown me the ultimate light
And left me on a path I can't wait to walk upon
I path that leads straight to a warm morning dawn,
With you walking beside me every step of the way
That is why we will grow old, because I am here to stay
