Growing Apart

Our laughter echoing the empty hall of yore A distant memory of us So happy and full of joy Never expecting this future You leave, moving far away I thought we could keep our friendship kindling Our calls were long and at lest twice a week I don't remember when they started to fall behind But soon the calls got shorter and more spaced out Now I call at least once a month Just to make sure we are still friends And find ourselves lost, with no idea what to talk about We have grown apart Sad but true Please, friend, just remember I still love you
