New Love? Stronger Freindship?

my heart has wings and soars the skies
true happiness and no more lies

for within the truth a true friend is found
one I know will always be round

but friendships grow and become so much more
not written in stone or taken from lore

you have touched me in ways that so few do
touched my heart that's more scared and blue

a spark of life, of love? perhaps, time to see
I've come to you to just find a way to be

you and me, we share a common thread
sort of like those that shared the last bread

our hearts have been stabbed, trampled and torn
only to be pulled out once again and be reworn

we've each learned through time to be true to ourselves
even for a while putting our hearts up on shelves

you've opened yours to me and I hold it carefully
i promise to care for it and love you cherishingly

love is there in my heart for you
love of a friendship grown true blue

will it grow to something more??
as you have already made my heart soar

only time will tell, that resounding tick tock and toll of the bell
give it time love, time to develop if it will, time to pull from years of hell
