Stand Up

Contributed by bedoo2003 on Thursday, 27th October 2005 @ 11:56:12 PM in AEST
Topic: political

In this land of finite wes,
There has been lost the single me.
You see, theyve all marched into one frame of mind,
Preaching loud, we must unite to save our kind.
Despite the loss, the poor and dead,
They respond, We must combat this threat
Their great big chief, he leads them all.
Proclaiming Dont ask too much, we have it in control
I ask of thee, think critically,
When did we lose our right to individuality?
But not me
I will inquire; Ill learn the truth,
You will not hold me, in your deceitful noose.
Ill battle back; well come in hoards,
My cause, the truth is what I battle for.
So tell me lies, attempt to fill my head,
Your bullets made of ignorance, combined with burning lead.
Youve drawn your lines, and armed your men.
Ill close my eyes and count to ten,
And when I wake it will begin.
Ill lead the coup; well swell our ranks,
We wont back down to guns or tanks.
So turn to red and label me,
My revolution will set the people free.
With propaganda you hypnotize,
Yet their souls remain, transparent through their eyes.
I wont succumb, Im true and tried.
To the laws of freedom, we will abide
