Leaves are falling from the trees Dancing as they float in the autumn breeze Their colours vibrant They are all around Covering the bleak damp ground
Childhood memories come flooding back As under foot they crunch and crack Temptation was to much to bare How i yearned to kick them in the air
The trees stand tall and o' so high Their arms outstreched across the autumn sky Nests remain buts birds have gone No longer can i hear their sweet sounding songs
Winter is not far away Where days are short and nights are long No flowers ,sunshine or birds in song
Think as winter as a magical time Where creatures sleep and rest there heads Where bulbs are planted in flower beds Where fires are lit to help stay warm And the sun peeks through on those frosty morn's

Great nature write. I love the fall. Changing of the leaves and their eventual lovely carpet they leave on the ground. Though I am not a fan of cold weather. There is something so still and breathtaking in a winters day. Peace to you, Laura |
