Opals

Contributed by ramfire on Tuesday, 21st January 2003 @ 07:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

To ancient Romans opals symbolized
luck beneficial, hope eternal, aye.
And medieval people realized
such stone could keep them healthy - one should try.
This blaze with colors like to autumn days
displays a brilliant multi-hues affect.
It beautifies and shows in many ways
discriminating judgement most correct.
Australia's place to seek and take best find.
Black opal seems to be the highest prize.
All people say this sample's choicest kind.
Yes, even though diminutival size.
Now jewelry using opals show good taste
and owning same to me is no bad waste.
