A Lifeless Walk

Contributed by toddy29 on Thursday, 3rd November 2005 @ 01:39:44 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

The days fall shorter, the darkness draws near
The light drifts away with all that is dear
Chances covered by the pureness of white
Dimness remains and leaves little in sight
The world is dead, all liquids draw cold
The eerie winds leave all stories untold
Silence, whispers across the barren land
Calmness makes peace in the palm of my hand
Why is the land so placid, so...tender
When the heart is weak and near surrender?
Why do the darkest nights of the year
Bring into all the deepest they fear?
Revive this fire while clocks sing the twelfth bell
For the change in seasons is too distant to tell

Wow! Amazing imagery. This was truly a remarkable write!
"Why is the land so placid, so...tender
When the heart is weak and near surrender?

omg! So full of melancholy but oh! so breathtaking!
Wonderful! I look forward to reading more.
