Lady Spring and Dragoe of Pern

ones and twos
they line up in a row
hand in hand
watching the land
grow vibrent and beatiful
in a space of a moon cycle
They came from near and far
to see this grand occation
flowers bloomed, trees grew
animals flocked
from near and far
it seemed that
in a space of a moon
All grew green and lush
The men and weman
of the land looked
upon a single creature
on the mountain
with raised arms
and a blowing silver gown
She called to the beasts
she wispered to the trees
she hushed the wind
and told them to prosper and grow
The people of the land
all cheered and praised
for this one elegant, tall, women
saved the land
from Winters chill
on the planet Pern
When she was done
she called to her dragon
Who was gold and silver
With rainbow eyes
She jumped on the beast
with every ease
and flew off towards the sun
waving to the people
saying "Goodbye 'till next springs harvest"
