Have you ever felt like you were walking a mile?
Felt the blisters of eternity bursting into sorrows
I have felt this waylost on a trail of nowhere
Each step another agonytrailing tears of blood
Red crimson drying cracking fading ceasing
My thoughts often sluggish lost in a turmoil
Have you ever walked that endless mile to nowhere?
Have you ever felt a cold touch upon your flesh?
Shivered in fear as each stroke turns your heart to ice
I havefelt the glaciers melting into crimson rivers
Heard the tortured agony of rupturing fissures
Felt the fires burning as my heart shrivels
My hands closed into fists tight and angry
And on my knees as if pleading for an end
Have you felt this way from a cold emotionless touch?
Have you ever felt as if everything is closing in on you?
As if something is trying to crush your failing will
I have felt this way and yet maybe just maybe I still do
So much has happened so many deaths friends, family
Each loss another scar upon my withering heart
Another piece of my soul fades with each parting
As one less tear falls shattering upon deaths scythe
Leaving me with only shadows as friends in a prison of emptiness
Have you ever felt as I do now? absolutely and utterly alone.
