Fantasy Things

Contributed by TundraHydra on Wednesday, 22nd January 2003 @ 03:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Dragon's claws and giant maws
Fearless knights ride to Death's open jaws
A wizard of old with magics untold
Bidding his time as the future unfolds
Angels' auras drift strongly around
While thier grace doth always abound
Dark unsightly caves with creatures of demise
Killing the foolish and correcting the folly that they had surmised
Angel like horses flying with feathers
The beauty of a pegasus has never been teathered.
Horses with horns that gleam pale in the light
Running swiftly on a Midsummer's night
Giant insects with stingers galore
Searching for prey with poison in store
Witches fly in the night time sky
Casting love spells as they go on by
Skeletal beings coming back from the dead
Searching in vain to tear your brain from your head
These are a few of the imaginary things
Some walk the ground while others fly on wings
So I say good-bye to my strange little friends
and dream up the dreams with unending ends

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
