Nothing's Sacred

I don't know what we've come to, I mean the world as a whole. Everyone's lost sight of life, And are chasing their own goals.
Some streets have pimps, drugs, and whores; Nothing's sacred anymore.
Kids confused about what love is, Immature parents breaking apart. None can realize how bad the sin is Unless they've had a broken heart.
Abusive men confused about why, Their girlfriends are running out on their guys. Still, nothing's solved, when she runs out the door, nothing's sacred anymore.
Porn makes more money than Burger King, Some girls wear less clothes than the birds when they sing. Good people may get their stories in the news, But nobody cares cuz they're deep in their booze.
This world is rotting straight down to the core, And sometimes I wonder what it's all for, But with god I believe we all can do more, Nothing's sacred anymore.

How many can relate to your thoughts my dear. As a Christian myself, I too have wonder of the tradigies of this world as suffered by man. Unfortnately in the USA, I feel I am loosing more of my freedoms to a government who is helping other countries gain thiers, we are loosing ours. The Morals and Values of life, basic living structures as the founding fathers of my country beleived, are no longer allowed. But yet in my heart, I will ask God for guidance and my path allows it to happen. It will take many, many bad events to someday in years, perhaps generations to come, to see a positive really come to unite good thinking, good government and the world finally united in peace. It takes suffering to make things good in many of times, at the hands of good people who beleive as you and I and many others, who never lost hope and never lost thier faith in thier God. Good write.... Amber Rose Yeager :) |

Ask a child who they look up to, odds are a musician, an athlete or an actor will be named. It's sad that rarely a parent or a teacher and never a political leaders name is mentioned. Unfortunately this has been going on for the last couple pf generations, and because of this I am not suprised by the state of our once great nation. |
