It's been over a year now
We've been through this before
The truth is only bringing me down
And I'm not used to being unsure
Broke your heart the first time
I could never do it again
But saving yours is breaking mine
And I'm starting to regret the things I said
Never thought it would come to this
Though I knew it wouldn't last forever
There's nothing more dangerous than a kiss
And I did it..it was my choice we weren't together
I don't mean to play with your head
You know me better than that
But my confidence is dead
And I would hate for this to last
It's not fair to you
It's not fair to me
This isn't something I would purposely do
This isn't the person I want to be
There are reasons I don't understand
And I suppose I never will
I'm haunted by the look on your face
The day I said it was over
That's something I don't want to retrace
But I can't stay for the wrong reasons
I can't stay for the wrong reasons..
I can't keep pretending
To keep from a not-so-happy ending
Here I am again
Stuck in something I've created
It's times like these I need a cigarette
But I won't..I won't for you
I won't forget what we had
And I'm so sorry that it has to end.
