You Helped Me Soar

You Helped Me Soar
~~~~~
When Im blue
I come to you
You help me soar
Right off the floor
You hold the string as I fly
To ensure I dont get too high
Yet when I tumble to the ground
Youre the first one around
To pick me up by my wings
To repair all broken things
You release the beauty that I hide
By showing off my insides
You gently reel me in
When the air becomes too thin
My protector you seem to be
Always looking out for me
Though I have little to offer back
Your friendship never seems to lack
So I soar through the sky
Because youve given me air to fly
Thank you!
A very nice tribute, seems like a good friend you have. I think everyone needs that person, the one, that picks us up and dusts us off. Geat write, I enjoyed reading it.
Your poem is so touching! What a blessing to have such a caring and close relationship as that. Poem well done, not to mention good rhythm, flow, and rhyme. Take care :)
