Why

Contributed by sylviawalters on Tuesday, 8th November 2005 @ 06:13:52 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I no longer know
Who I want to be
Always lived around
People who just can't see

Whenever something goes wrong
I always get the blame
All the harsh words yelled at me
Make me hang my head in shame

I'm sick of all you're bi***ing
I'm sick of you calling me a slut
I just can't seem to understand
How you can not see the cuts

How can you be so blind
Why do you lose control?
Why do you stand there grinning?
And watching as I fall?

Why do you hit me
Why do you make me cry?
Why do you make it so
All I can say is why?

...a very moving creation...a lot of heart and soul...it plays out at so many levels...so many relational combinations...

spouse to spouse
lover to lover
parent to child
employer to employee
I to I
God to me

...the last two were the relationships that this poem pretty well described...

...thanks for sharing your journey through pain and agony...
