Open our ears and listen to the tales; Which always tips these scales, And once again justice fails; Another notch on the list of fables, Dead presidents in their pockets posting bail, When the angels hear the verdict, it does rain--it hails. Blinded by cloth, with the sword in her hand, And forget about these lies, flash dollar bills in peoples eyes; See how fast it twist their minds, If its that easy being compromised, Then our principles were all just lies, As simple as criminals spitting alibis, Stacking bills and counting bribes, But they're quick to drop the dime, in a moment's time. I hate to think we can be bought and sold, Quell the voice deep in our throats. By adopting new morals? But by then weve already sold our souls, By a man hiding under a robe; Whos just as guilty as the man he set on parole. Because thats the handshake under the table, But neither man is really in control.
These decisions, turns the innocent into victims, Now that our lives change in the process of a minute; And live with the punishment; which consists of a slap on the wrist. These lawyers and judges are following a script; Stringing the charade of a band of puppets, Leading blind sheep to their judgment, Manipulating laws till they become counterfeit. When they oppress limits on the first amendment, And snap em in half like the Ten Commandments, We ignore and abandon them, I cant even fathom it, Standing in court, oops, wait, they forgot their lines, Rewind the tape and take five, So they can memorize their notes again and re-testify.
In God we trust? Holy scriptures turn to dust; our crucifix turns to rust, The minute they raise their hands and take the oath, Man, what a joke! Cause theyve already sworn befo Tighten the rope around their throats. So no matter what they swear to or say, Ask em which god they will worship today They take the Lords name in vain; Just like Judass betrayal in Gethsemane. They never practice what they preach; Sell their lies and you believe; Conforming to heresy and blasphemy; And pass it off as the new Christianity. Get up off your knees, forget your prayers, "Youre all you need." Believe in yourself and you will be redeemed. Meditate, and the solace you seek, Will be on your lips the next time you speak; Laundry list of the principles youve breached. What do they call it now? The art of spin, wrong doing, public relations, Were all being pulled into different directions, Thats theyre clever distraction, And were quick to swallow the deception, And buy into their freedom of expression. Listen close because you need to pay attention: Scripted words to sympathize their concession, Politicians turned lawyers, its called internal dissention. Now its time to go to sleep, I hope youve learned todays lesson.

In God we trust?
Holy scriptures turn to dust; our crucifix turns to rust,
The minute they raise their hands and take the oath,
Man, what a joke!
have you read any particular passages?
can you tell me what passages, and how they
affected you?,
