Is all I can hear
I know it is real
I can feel it so near
Wanting to live
Wanting to die
Why do I stay here
It's just a lie
I hate this night
It started with a tear
But at nine at night
Her body was filled with fear
What should she do?

Ive felt every word of this poem because I was witness to one of my mum's ex's beating her in front of me. It is such a hard thing to recover from and I'm pretty sure I never will because it happened so long ago and I still remember it as if it happened yesterday.
This is such a powerful write in such a small amount of words, but that makes for the best type of poem. You have such talent.

Not an easy task to live about, violence is not acceptable, I pray each day and night for all, be safe, what should you do?
