Am I not a friend, one who listens
patiently, intently as you speak,
cry, lean on me. Or not speaking
at all can mean more then you let on to be.
I wish to hold you, comfort the pain, the
anger inside you bleed. But you turn
away, taking no heed. How God must
feel, when we do this to Him. Wondering
what we must have been. All that's tangible
can be touched. Prayer is all I can do as such.
So my dear friend, soon this will end. Let me
do this for you, for a little lift of the day. Give
you rainbows, warmth of the sunshine's rays.
