A Long Time

Its been over two months since I have written
A large portion of that time we werent even speaking

He still claims it was not because he was angry
But I dont think I would have taken the email I sent him so lightly
Then again I am more sensitive and emotional than most

All the warning signs are there
He didnt become confused about me until there was a possibility of another man
This shows issues of control
Or, I dont want you, but I dont want anyone else to have you either

He flat out says he is a disservice to me
This shows a sign of a conscience
Considering he knows that I have feelings and that he doesnt

Whatever excuse it is
The result remains the same
In his eyes:
I dont love you
But its OK to mess around

My question: Why?
His response: Well, because youre there
I am easy access

Just because I choose to live in the emotional world
Does not mean that I am not logical
This is my choice and therefore my fault
I have been careless with my heart

I am a brilliant girl
And the empress of excuses
Yet, I know what I have to do
Now it is just a matter of following through

Oh Lord Give me strength
To love myself
To quit making excuses
To say no
And do what is right for me
