Tormented and Twisted

Contributed by secretwind on Sunday, 13th November 2005 @ 04:52:40 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

This is my world
and I don't wanna live here anymore.
A clown of confusion with a bad attitude
I never smile or laugh
or care about what people do,
I'm always hurting
but I don't know where the pain comes from.

I can't even shed a tear
cause there is no one
that I call dear,
never know what I am doing
don't know what comes next
there's a hole in my soul
and the fear I never forget.
twisted dreams tormenting me as I fall
it really is deep
when no one cares for you at all.

A face in the crowd
I am drawn to a smile
Into the shadows I fade
so no one can see me go wild,
I'm always hiding
never knowing
what I am running from....
Weebles wobble
but they don't fall down
I use to know how to love
but I've forgotten how to now,
This is my world
and I don't wanna live here anymore.

Nice poem. I can relate to what your saying, everyone feels a sense of sorrow and a easy escape every now and then and I think your poem captures well the twisted though in peoples heads during these times. great work

...there is so much pain out there...I'm sure you weren't clinically separate from it as you created this poem...trust yourself...Bob Dylan wrote a classic song with that title on his Empire Burlesque album...cars have dummy lights...usually yellow, orange, red and green...when something needs attention, a light goes on...if we just stare at the light and don't give it the attention it is asking for, eventually the car will be damaged...with the human body, when we touch a hot burner and experience pain, it's a no brainer, don't touch hot things or you will damage yourself...pain gives us a valuable piece of information...the same is true of emotional pain...it is not an end in itself...it is simply alerting you to an area of your emotional life that needs attention...listen to it...notice specifically when and where, why and for what reason it is giving you the signal...meditate on it, seek advise from a wise person, look beyond the obvious, seek the underlying, hidden causes...then change behavior...

...and through it all, keep writing poetry!

...I can certainly relate to the feelings you wrote about...you certainly aren't alone on that point...

Thanks for sharing...
