A BETTER MAN

Contributed by BRAT on Wednesday, 22nd January 2003 @ 11:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

AS 12TH GRADE CAME ALL THE DETROIT GUYS PLAYED NOTHING BUT GAMES, NOT A GAME OF BASKETBALL, NOT A GAME OF DARTS.
THIS GAME HURTS IT WAS PLAYED WITH MY HEART.

YEAH, GUYS COME AND THEN THEY GO.
NOW HE'S HERE, HE SAYS HE LOVES ME AND THAT HE CARES.

TIME PASSES......HIS LOVE STARTS TO DISAPPEAR. HE DOESN'T LOVE ME NOR DOES HE CARE.

I'M ALL ALONE, I FEEL A TEAR, AS I CRY MY CUZ WIPES MY TEARS, "KEEP YOUR CHIN UP," SHE SAYS, "AND DON'T BE SAD. FIND YOURSELF A BETTER MAN."

A FEW WEEKS WENT BY, I'M BETTER NOW, HE'S NOTHING BUT A REJECTAFIED JERK!

I TOOK A LOOK IN THE MIRROR, TO FIND A SMILE AND NO MORE TEARS. AND ONLY BECAUSE I HAD LISTENED TO MY CUZ, I KEPT MY CHIN UP, I DIDN'T STAY SAD. I DID WHAT SHE TOLD ME.... I FOUND ME A BETTER MAN!!!

THX JD!!!!
