God Help Us

First they took prayer out of school
They said it broke some golden rule
Then they attacked In God We Trust
Christianity, theyre trying to hush
They replaced Christ with an x
Theyre teaching evolution in school text
The Ten Commandments they wont allow
In public places, they call it fail
Whats happening to our faith?
Our belief in God suddenly erased
America, the home of the free
Then why are people telling us how it has to be?
Put Christ back in Christmas
Freely state, In God We Trust
Put commandments back at state buildings
Pray in school with true feelings
Be not ashamed of who we are
For we are the most blessed by far
In God we stand, in God we trust
If we turn our back, Lord help us

But commandments back at state buildings
is it supposed to be Put commandments back....

Beautifully written in Truth! We don't know how free we are until something or someone takes that freedom to pray etc. away from us!

| Is your freedom really beng taken away? No one stops yourfrom praying or having Faith, nor should they. However, no ones beleifs should be imposed on anyone else. This is America and with that comes its diveristy. Praying to Gd and remembering him everyday is wonderful and something that could not be taken away from those who believe in Him, but , this should not be imposed in schools, public buidlings,ect, OR else, we become one and the same with the same people we so vehmently write about. |

Subject aside, for the moment, I liked the structure of this, and the rhyme, though it was a little rough in places. The length is good, too. It didn't repeat itself, but made it's point and then stopped.
The subject... I sort of agree... But not. lol. Really, I can see why Christianity is being taken out of schools and public buildings. People don't all worship the same God, and it would really be against their rights to have Christianity thrown at them. Christianity is not the only religion.
I do, however, feel sad that Christianity is being 'hushed' as you say.
