HARD RIGHT, HARD LEFT & DEAD IN THE MIDDLE

Hard right, hard left
- were dead in the middle
It swings back and forth
And heres the riddle
How when they fail
When they make such a mess
Do they come round again
With new votes we bless?

They bring such chaos
and endless despair
No onward move
So far from fair
How can we escape
from this cycle of woe
when extremes of both sides
feed off their foe?

It all goes round
in cycles of war
And no real sense
of what it's all for
Is there no answer
to our riddle
Of hard right, hard left
- and us dead in the middle?
