I never thought about that,
Win we will next year,
Yes we'll be back.
Of course, next year,
The battle has been won,
But the war is far from over.
Spirits up, slightly shattered,
Ready for revenge, another chance,
When I sing out so everyone can hear,
"I'm sure that's all great...but guys...
What about THIS year?

I totally understand this one Seth,
it winds me right up when I hear people saying this about my football team Manchester United here in England.
What happened to this next year from last?!?
It's just not good enough! But this year we are set up for and will again win everything like we did in '99!!
Great write here. I wish there were more writes about sport, including from myself!
