You need the reflexes of a fighter for this love. I see too many screaming blades.
This is still bardsong, champion-chant, but your steps circle the void. Keep away from the pit, yawning darkness, growing fear. Heed the light.
Maker-love hangs on to you fierce faces about stab the darkness. This is not something that you know - it's beyond understanding.
So call lightning on the foes like fields of wheat, and they will fade while you do not. Not yet.

Andrew, you are very special, I hope you know that.
This poem is special as well, and also, I found it rather inspiring, myself.
Jarred is right, this poem is gorgeous, and is also one of my faves.
Awesome write,
*hugs*

A piece of brilliance to ward off the dark.
I think very highly of this, Andrew. Whatever has inspired it is blessed and you have passed it on to readers.
I see circles of protection, sir knight.
Blessings, J. |

My!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is simply glorious, Andrew! Geez... I'm so perfectly, fabulously blown over by this that I can't even tell you the enumerable reasons that I adore it - and there are so very many reasons. My goodness --- you've split the night wide open! And Andrew.... I swear I heard the exhale.
Wow.

Dear God I don't think anyone could steal your candle for a while Andrew. This is just beautiful it's gorgeous, I know its such a passé to use that word but it really is gorgeous.
You certainly have raised the poetic bar into new heights and it’ll be fun to see who can beat you to it.
Happy writing

Very well expressed here Andrew...The path of darkness is the easiest to follow, yet the path of light reaps the most rewards...Well told!

Wonderfully written. Love is often more of a duel than a duet. A fight for supremacy and dominance within a relationship. You use very evocative and carefully thought out words and images.

Awesome as usual Andrew. I love the last stanza!
I believe you are right. It is SO life!
Sometimes your writes evoke eternal thought and
emotion from me ... and this is no exception.
Splendiferous work, dear friend.

Mo Charid! This is... so damn eloquent it made me shiver. You've stepped so far beyond where you were and it's glorious! Aye, a Ghra, call lightning and keep the faith.
