CLINGING LEAVES

CLINGING LEAVES

Tenaciously clinging --those last to fall leaves
Like a dying man, nearing his end breaths.
In our minds the will to live is very strong.
Like a dying tree as the last leaves hang on.

Buried deep within its heart an old nest.....
Spring brought new life, 'twas truly blessed.
A haven from fierce winds a fearless fortress.
Over are days of loving, nurturing, with happiness.

Winter's rest approaches all living earthlings
For mankind, a slowing from all his yearnings
Soundly sleeping, and slumbering, without activity....
Then--Spring's awakening with blooming beauty.

Makes one glad to be alive, and even after death
A wonderful hope of life after an Autumn breath
No more outcry, not one tear, no one will fear......
Each day we live, that wondrous day grows nearer

Dearest Consue, lovely poem my friend. We must be on the same wavelength. Well, honestly we are. Those furled up leaves hang on for their dear lives.. I am one of those leaves. By the way, have you ever went outside at night, looked at those folding dried leaves, check it out, they look like little birdies sitting in the barren trees. The Lord takes care of those little leaves and renews them, He will renew us all. I can honestly write I love you Consue, you are a beautiful dear person close to my heart. RL
