My Life.

Contributed by OzChick on Friday, 25th November 2005 @ 11:03:36 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

This is my life, up and down.
A roller coaster ride.
Good and bad times, highs and lows.
And parties on the side.
All things happen for a reason.
This I do believe.
Without the pain that loving gives us,
how can we conceive,
the joy and wonder living gives us?
This I do believe.

Broken hearts can be mended.
Tender loving care.
Dare to love, believe in soul-mates.
Trust that life is fair.
Work with grief, turn it around.
Smile instead of cry.
There is no pain up heaven.
Perfect Angels fly.

I have travelled on life's path a quarter century.
I will continue 'till I die,
God knows when that will be.
I know that Jesus travels with me,
forever in my heart.
Now I realise God has smiled
on me from the start.

This is my life and I cherish every single day.
The ups and downs, the highs and lows.
What ever comes my way.

I like the message driving this one. I wonder what your ten year revamp would read like. Seems to me that ten years could make it that much more poignant.

Will be interesting to see what the verdict is on the next quarter century.
Some nice advice here and like you I believe that things do happen for a reason.
That reason isnt always clear but it seems to shape our lives

Another powerful write. I have lived a little longer than a quarter century (I am 41 and quite digging it) :) I have to agree with many things here in your write. I too believe things happen for a reason. I have had some nasty times in the past...with a nasty attitude about it. As I have aged I've learned if it wasn't for the hard times...mistakes...loses, I would never be where I am today, with a loving husband and two beautiful kids. Crap in the past makes me grateful for what I have now. Peace to you, Laura
Good luck to you in your life.
