Black-Eyed Burden

As hearts are heavy in despair, Breaking into pieces by the abuse and the careless wear- Calloused covered and frozen in time, Destroying all memories and evidence of the crime-
Every soul is built to withstand defeat, Flames of desire are always too difficult to beat- Ground control to the eye in the sky- waiting in a gust of wind that's too intense, Happiness is a black-eyed burden of a lovers mindless defense-
Illegal precautions by authorities worker bee's, Just dont stand a chance in the dropping degrees- Killing the spirit, blowing away the control, Learn to love him- mind, body and soul-
Mastermind in a scheme of revenge and pain, Normal actions will get you slain- Opportunity is knocking at your front door, Promising diamonds and riches and so much more-
Question the motives, formulate the plot, Reserve the right to leave what you've got- Something sickening is under construction, Timing is everything in this lovers production-
Under estimate the places you've seen, Vain attempts cause problems to become mean- Waiting in angst for the answers to prayers, You walk together through Hell's spiral of stairs-
This moment feeds off the need and the desire, Add a log to fuel the campfire- When he's in your grasp you let him go, But dont close your eyes, cause he will know-
Breaking heart, beat is slowing, There really is no way of really knowing- Romance and love are a dance for thieves and liars, Jealousy results in threats and slashed tires.

really sad but great poem.
But there is the insight in the below line:
"Every soul is built to withstand defeat,"
Defeat can be the greatest victory.
And bland Happiness so unfruitful. If you find time I have a Rictazmeter "Darkness of the Soul"
The edge and heft is bestowed in the Darkness and often in what seems defeat
Great poem
Blessings
Elizabeth
