If only by genes
They we are family
im unsure what that means
you are my father
of that i am sure
still memories of us
are just a blurr
i am your son
we share the same blood
so why did you leave me
standing in the mud
i am your son
dad, i love you so
i just wish i knew
why you had to go
you are my father
i am your son
soon on the other side
we'll join togeather as one
