Why Does the Sorrow Yet Remain

Contributed by AzurePaladin on Friday, 24th January 2003 @ 02:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

here i am, despite my blessings alone again
my efforts, my emotions and needs
seemingly meaning
less than in darker times

have i really been saved from the past
or just preoccupied enough to forget
the loneliness inside
persistent as evil

though the world is brighter now than once
though i have my health and happiness
deep within, then why
does the sorrow yet remain?

I liked this a lot of the time I feel the same way. Happy yet deep inside there's this nagging pain. I liked this short and to the point.

loneliness is the road we walk on the way to togetherness, as you get to know it you will find there are many delights and distractions along its sidewalks, of in the end it is always the destination that counts, you will get there

Great poem! I can feel it completely. Sometimes we think we are whole again, only to find in solitude that we are not.
