Where do we go from here?

She asked me a simple question
To which I had not one reply
And though the answer I denied
The echoes ring true and clear
To what exactly is life for?
And where do we go from here?
Well Im not a prophet
I thought I found truth but then I lost it
And I cant tell you how to live your life
But if I had advice,
Id say make mistakes
Learn your ways for better days
And maybe you may find some truth
You havent got a thing to lose
Except a place without a face
That lurks under your skin
Living in veins where it remains
And makes your blood run cold
So I say I have no answers
But dont let the dark take hold
And maybe at least you may find some peace,
In this world or the next
A place to live and learn from life
Free from the fear of death and strife
But then again dont just listen to me,
You have to decide for yourself to be free
Just know that though Ive been fooled before
Im a fool that can see where hes been
And what hes looking for
So where do we go from here?
