The warmth from the sun never touches my face
It's there and it tries but I push it away
The happiness that it once used to bring
Is now only a distant memory of what used to be
That spark in my eye that you once would instill
Is no longer here, it's nowhere to be found
Only you could put it there, that spark in my eye
But you took it with you the day that you died
Looking into your pale, white face as I told you goodbye
The tears fell down my cheeks, burning in the cold night sky
This never should have happened, especially not to you
Your life was about to get great, you had so much in store
So many words that I should have said to you before this day
But most important is "why?" How could I not have seen?
Not ready to let go, you took yourself from me
How could you be so selfish, robbing the world of such a beautiful soul?
Looking back, the signs were all wrong
There was the self-injury, longing to feel alive
The craving for helpful attention, again choosing life
So what made you make that final choice?
Did something happen that day? Did someone hurt you?
I swear to God I will kill them, whoever took you from me
I'll search day and night til I find them, I swear they will pay
...but what if the person that I'm searching for was here all along
What if that person is me?

Such a dynamic, powerfull write!
I too am sorry 4 your loss.
This very courages write will stop someone or any one that reads it into inner healing stop some from doing it.
Thank God for this masterfull write.
We're only human but God has us all in the palm of his hands and luvs thru it all!
Hang tuff and know that who ever is an angle by your side now.

a beautiful poem, very sad and filled with such powerful emotions. I'm sorry you had to go through so much pain. it wasn't your fault. never think that. im sure that leaving you was the hardest part of it for him/her.
