DADDY

Contributed by LOSTtrust on Wednesday, 7th December 2005 @ 08:23:54 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

everyday i looked at the door,
scared when i heard you stomping the floor,
always taking out your pain at my brother,
causing misery to my dissapointed mother...
leaving your wife and daughter in tears,
making my life something to fear,
you promised me so many things,
but instead you chose to go drink...
i was hurting inside,wondering why?
you always bring tears to my eyes,
coming home from school one day,
everything became a daze,
you were packing up all of your clothes...
leaving your confused daughter
asa drunken father...
not seeing you for days then weeks,
everyday tears rolled down my cheeks...
i was afraid you wouldnt come back,
wondering were my daddy was at...
but no matter what you did and what youll do...
i just need you to know
i will never forgive you....

This one could be from my son or either of my daughters.
Sad but a great write as so many go down the road of alcaholism.
huggs,
emy
