Smiles hide
But I can't disguise
my hatin' eyes
sneers deride
and I let them slide
but my eyes don't lie
I harbor hatred on the sly
no, i don't cry
but even tears can bely
a viciousness untried
these irises hold a passion demonized
it's as if, sometimes
I need to exorcise these hatin' eyes
anyway, I should excercise these failin' eyes
because these glasses will drive me blind
I lay in wait behind
these pupils of mine
holding a darkness inside
that I have yet to decide
should be freed or chastised
yet I don't let anyone get wise
to the conflict happening under their noses
I'm posin'
as a nice guy
but that was always just a guise
for these hatin' eyes
