Twisting yourselves before me Can this really be true? I swear I remember a different face When you were being you
You have it all mistaken I'm not the one to impress Dont try to blame me now For the way you are dressed
I can dress you up or down Without reason, without rhyme If you really live for What I think in my time
I'm not the source I am not the crime But I can fake whatever you want On your ignorant dime
Let me humor, let me sleep Let me drink, but please Don't let me think
My mind, the sharp edge To your idle conversation Trying to cut your Baby teeth on Me. Please.
I'll give you girth To realize your birth Just don't dig on me To dig in your purse.
I have been as accommodating As any good person should I'm sure you'd never understand this But I wonder if you would
Do the same. Yes, I wonder if you'd Ever do the same Yourself.

...good...you touched on a lot of cultural foibles...stepped on a lot of toes...I like that...it wakes me up...I'm awake...
Twisting yourselves before me
Can this really be true?
I swear I remember a different face
When you were being you...
I can dress you up or down
Without reason, without rhyme...
Let me humor, let me sleep
Let me drink, but please
Don't let me think...
My mind, the sharp edge
To your idle conversation...
...these are the lines that got me up and moving...
...the last eight lines...continuing the thought through to another stanza and gearing down and then stopping with a satisfyingly quizzical expression...nice...very nice...
...thank you...
