limericks

Sat to write a verse, I thought it could be a limerick Cause a rhythmic poem can be nice to add trick But this one lays stress, as if one couldn`t tell And I thought, If I should write, write it well
My lady told, having sat to write, write it quick Even I thought, today I would write a limerick And a poem as a limerick is a tricky thing to sell But this one lays stress, as if one couldn`t tell
The work is good, but to fetch a better price More than normal, one should add extra spice With more work to do, I wrote it down pell-mell Even this one lays stress, as if one couldn`t tell
I always liked that poets should be little wise In any poem they can always bring surprise I don`t remember how this verse actually befell And this one lays stress, as if one couldn`t tell
Having written down the verse and it`s a limerick Not knowing the content my lady began to prick If you wish to know, you again make a click And if you will know or not, depends on your luck!
