Hey little baby she said
do you see that strange man over there
thats your daddy that didnt work out
nothing lost or bared
Fallen tears that she cant see
lay idol and long lost
inside a burning heart
with his childhood so it cost
Just before she saw him weep
a knowing man came to rest
knowledgeable about her life
and all the things she burnt best
tools of his broken mind
and arms for hiding away
nothing said or made different
could ever make him want to stay
so his farewell was worth two
he left his rope to hang dry
his legs lay dangled and spent
only for his first and last goodbye
