The world is sleeping
But why cant I?
Something inside afraid
You know I cant lie
The world is sleeping
And its getting late
Is it my own choice?
Or was it just fate?
Fate that brought me over
Fate that made me stay
Fate that I sat next to you
Fate I couldnt say
I wanted to say
You should be mine
But Ill get the message
To you some other time
I wanted to say
Leave on your light
Im coming over later
Please dont say goodnight
Goodnight to all the happiness
Goodnight to my song
Goodnight to all the beauty
Goodnight and so long
So long as you dont leave me
My soul will be with you
You know I can be your man
You know I will be true
So long and dont forget me
Keep me in your mind
When we meet again
My smile you will find
Find all the good times
Find what was never really there
Find out how I felt
Find out you didnt care
Didnt care about the situation
And what it meant to me
You were just too blind
Only colours could you see
Didnt care about the love
I wanted to give to you
So why should I care
After what you put me through
Through all the darkness
Through my heart and soul
Through all my happiness
Happiness that you stole
The world is still sleeping
I think its time for me
Knowing you and I
Were never meant to be
