You ask me and I ask myself What do I need? What do I want? But what I really want doesn’t make that much sense and it’s not fair to you I can’t have my cake and eat it too because what I want is for you to- Give me my space, But not ignore me Don’t worry about me when I’m gone, But still miss me I want to be independent, But to still be your baby girl I want you to let me grow up, but not too fast I want to be a teenager, but still act like a little kid sometimes I want to wear eyeliner and mascara, but still play in the sandbox and use the swings at the park Above All, I want us to all be happy And get to eat our cake Together.
