They killed Tookie today. Arnold couldn't see in his heart to grant the man his life. Self-righteous groups they are. Early morning execution... Carried out so clean. Doesn't matter what YOU call it man, It's still murder and it's still mean. If your God does forgive then what on Earth is this? I do not understand this moral country's idiotic double standards.
"Killing other humans is wrong, so let us lethally inject them for the killing they have done."
If killing is wrong... why are there executions?
If killing is wrong... why are we waging war with our brothers and sisters in the East?
Questions and questions. Confusion racks the simple mind of me.
The anti-abortion fools are much the same way... Bomb the clinics. Kill the doctors for killing the babies. Hey it's the American way.
Well, Tookie I wish your life would have been spared. Know my brother Many are here, that do care. Your message of love was well recieved. Many of your brothers and sisters, my friend... Today they shall grieve.
Farewell to you, Tookie May you rest in peace.

I agree with you, he had it way too easy, the state should find ways to torture these people, before they put them down, I wish he weren’t dead, so he could be killed with the same pain and fear he inflicted on his unsuspecting victims, not one ounce less…. A poem for a murdering, self-proclaimed, convicted gangster, gotta love it..lol…
Not everyone deserves a second chance.
Although, this is America, and you are free to be liberal in your views...so I respect your opinion…
Nice poem just the same

NIce poem! First I've read today paying tribute to Williams. I'm not sure if Tookie was guilty or not but I agree with the death penalty 100%. Yes, killing is wrong but it is justified in some cases. Although I don't see it right for a man to sit on death row for 20+ years then being excuted. It's like doubling his punishment. |

i like what you wrote even tough it realy isn't a poem as much as you stating your opinions. if OUR God forgives? if he is OUR God and not yours what does it matter? i have spent time in prison when i was doing bad things and let me tell you that death is better than life in prison but i do not defend the death penelty. judge not less ye be judged first, let he without sin cast the first stone and so on and so on but God does forgive and if this person has realy repented they are in a much better place
good write |

I personally think this is a great poem. It is a wonderful dedication and brings many thought provoking things to one's mind....at least this one, me.
While I seem to walk a fine line between an eye for an eye or judge not lest ye be judged yourself, nevertheless this is a great write.
Take care and thank you for sharing your poetic thoughts.

A very powerful piece indeed.
I attempt to answer this by asking myself how I'd feel if someone I loved was murdered.I'm afraid that forgiveness would not be an option,I would want the death penalty for the guilty.
Having said that, innocent people have and will be executed,so the internal debate goes on. |
