Living alone
Insanity prone
I cant be bothered with reality
Mind open wide
Paranoid pride
Accusations of abnormality
A life destroyed
A mental void
A blank stare from empty eyes
Schizoid mentality
**** rationality
It never seemed to apply
So apathetic
Self anesthetic
I never took the time to feel
Mind in tatters
Not like it matters
None of this was ever real
Darkened room
Mental gloom
Quietly whispering to myself
Shadowy mind
Thoughts intertwined
Never sure if Im really someone else
Theyre looking at me
Im not what they see
The shadows hide me from the stares
Under this stress
So much to repress
Sanity stretches and tears
Grin in contempt
Logically exempt
I dont care what you all say
Maniacal smile
I wont be beguiled
I dreamt you all to life anyway

this was great. the line between the real and the surreal is ment to be crossed, it's from this where we find our best ideas. This poem is an example of pure poetry through psychosis. keep up the great work.

Very impressive Brandin,
Great flow and an incredible rhyme scheme.
The only place I really stumble is the last line...perhaps take out the word "all"?
( and not too many cliche's either!!!) ;) |
