The moon is up
And we're down here together
Shining down on us like a spotlight
The scene is silent
Except the quiet whisper of the streetlights
Telling us that this moment is ours
The moon is up
Directly above us
It looks so far away
But you're close to me now
And that's all that matters
The moon is up
Forget what I've ever said to you
Just know that I'm here now
Your presence is comforting
The moon is up
And so are my hopes
I couldn't ask for anything else
The moon is up
We can make this last forever
The moon is up
