*my best friend*
greets me at my door every day
tail wagging drool dripping
with nothing mean to say
*my best friend*
doesn't care if i sometimes yell
and shout
he doesn't even know what
it's all about
*my best friend*
makes me happy on days when
im so sad
and he always forgives me when
i call him bad
*my best friend*
often uses my floor to poop
and pee
but i know he'll never turn
his back on me
*my best friend*
reads my mind and knows
my every last thought
and even pretends he's happy
with the crappy toys i've bought
*my best friend*
only asks for a simple pat on
his furry head
and a worm place to sleep
preferably on my bed
*my best friend*
is so thankfull that his life is no longer
so grim
things were kind of rough in the shelter
where i found him
*my best friend*
was always loyal, compassionate, and
dignified
i couldn't be all those things no matter
how hard i tried
*my best friend*
when i think of you i hold
back a tear
life hasn't been the same
without my buddy here

awwww almost made me cry the last line hit it all on the head.Things arent the same without them near. So hard to say goodbye.

His spirit is beside u waggin his tail.
I do know how the loss is as I've lost more than one dog-n-cat during the last year.
I'm so sorry 4 your loss.
this is a fine tribute to the man's best friend.
Anyone that reasds this can probably relate if They've had pets.
I've lost two cousins from the same family,and also different others.
Keep the faith.
