Forgetting about us...

Contributed by holderofthestone on Friday, 16th December 2005 @ 08:50:14 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

This road weve traveled to many times
The angry words
The awkward silence
The way we cry

Time has come to face it
See it how it is
We cant keep pushing each other away
We are falling apart

If I said Im sorry a thousand times
You wouldnt hear it once
You never notice the good times
You focus only on my failures
And not the love we share

My tears form a river
And Im swept loose by the flow
Im following blindly
Trusting in you
Praying for the best
Hoping the worst has past

I knew you years ago
But oh how youve changed
I remember how you smiled
The way you used to glance at me
Peeking hiding
Not wanting me to see
Yet hoping that I did...
Wishing that I noticed

Well I always did
And I always will

Yet you slip away so easily
Not letting me grab hold
You push me away from you
Out of the safety of your arms
You left me all alone
To fight theses memories
And to forget about us
and this love we had...
