Failure is all you see

Monkey makes pretty sounds
but it's still ugly on the inside
Barracaded walls, only for you to crash
and music to drone

Mommy held a knife once more

Daddy holds a gun to rival her noose
all around my neck for another knot to lose

I have another appointment today
Just so I can be late -
and miss it again
Am I still a stupid failure?
Must be all the drugs
Silly imaginary drugs
Walls are closing in as you say the room gets bigger
I failed again to see the smaller picture
Put the hat on to cover my eyes
from this shady corner
Mommy won't you die again tonight?

I had plans to fail tonight
